Megan Carroll is a writer-director driven by the desire to tell stories that feature female, queer, and working class characters. Working across genres, she strives to craft characters who find their voices and learn to harness their strength in order to stand up for themselves. She believes in the power of film as a tool for social change and aspires to create stories that make audience members feel less alone.
Megan earned her MFA in Film & Television Production at the USC School of Cinematic Arts. While at USC, Megan was awarded the Sloan Screenwriting Grant and the Jeffrey Jones Scholarship for Excellence in Writing. She earned her BA in English and Graphic Design at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska.
